Apurva M. Patel, MD, FACC
After completion of his training in Internal Medicine at Woodhull Hospitals’ Suny Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Patel received his cardiology training, initially at Mt. Sinai Services’ Elmhurst Hospital in New York and then at Brooklyn Hospital in New York. He received his formal intervention cardiology training from Brown University Program. The Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island, where he finished is final year of cardiology fellowship. Dr. Patel then joined the practice of Cardiology Associates in 1992. In addition to clinical cardiology, echocardiography, stress testing, and nuclear cardiac imaging, he is highly trained in invasive and interventional cardiology, including cardiac catherization, balloon angioplasty, and coronary stenting.
Dr. Patel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Interventional cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and also in Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Patel is also on the faculty of EVMS as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine.
